Commendable Results for the 2018 GCE N Level Examinations

HIHS is pleased to announce that our 2018 N Level cohort did the school and themselves proud with their academic performance. 87.2% of our N(A) students are eligible to progress to Sec 5, with 69 of our students (81.2% of cohort) qualifying for the DPP in ITE. All our N(T) students are eligible to continue their studies at ITE.

Normal (Academic) Performance

8 N(A) subjects had pass rates above their respective national pass rates, with 6 subjects having 100% pass rates. These subjects include English Language, Malay Language, D&T, F&N, Art and POA.

In terms of quality passes, 6 subjects had distinction rates of at least 35%. These subjects include Mathematics, Science, Combined Humanities (SS/History), D&T, F&N and POA.

The commendable performance of our 4NA cohort is also seen in the percentage of students eligible to apply for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP).  13 students (or 15.3% of cohort) from the 2018 Sec 4NA cohort are eligible to apply for the PFP.

Normal (Technical) Performance

Not to be outdone, our N(T) cohort also put in commendable effort for the ‘N’ Level examinations. All 10 N(T) subjects had a higher pass rate than at the national level. 6 subjects had distinction rates of at least 20%. These subjects include Basic Chinese Language, Science, CPA, EBS, D&T and Food Studies.

We thank God for the good set of performance for the 2018 N Level cohort, teachers for their tireless effort in helping this cohort through the four years, and also to parents for their                      unwavering support and belief in their children. As the 2018 N Level cohort considers their future, we encourage all of them to remember that they will always be part of the HI community      with the courage to lead, compassion to serve.
